Split77, munstroak

El pasado sábado estuvimos grabando el videoclip de la canción munstroak del grupo de rock Split77. En la foto aparecemos los que participamos en el mismo. Ojalá todos los rodajes fueran así de divertidos. Es lo que tiene, a veces, trabajar con los amigos; no parece que se esté trabajando.

A partir de la semana que viene estará disponible el tercer trabajo de esta banda bilbaína (después de Antenna (2001) y Mentura (2005)) con un concierto de presentación en el Kafe Antzokia el viernes 26. Split77 lleva más de 10 años en el mundo de la música, proponiendo un estilo basado en la experimentación, la intensidad y las letras en euskera.

El director del vídeo, Igor Zorrotzua, tenía muy claro lo que quería: hacer un video estilo backwards. A través de la técnica reverse, la secuencia se invierte haciendo que alguien que camine hacia delante lo haga en el hacia atrás en el video final y viceversa. Pero lo mejor es ver un ejemplo:

Desde la Iglesia de San Vicente hasta la plaza Moyua, al ritmo de los compases de munstroak que Ekaitz Hernandez (bajista de Split77) hacía sonar en playback, estuvimos grabando el caminar hacia atrás de Iñigo Iraultza García (más conocido por Iru), actor principal del vídeo, un hombre nacido para la improvisación. Y como se puede ver en la imagen de abajo, utilizamos una silla de ruedas de ambulatorio como travelling, a la manera de los viejos tiempos del cine.

rodaje

Utilizamos la Canon 7D (perteneciente al operador de cámara Igor Cruchaga, en la imagen) y una Canon 5D de Ainara Ipiña que aseguraba la segunda unidad junto a Iratxe Gallo e Iskandar Rementería (voces y teclista del grupo). Irati Landa estaba grabándolo todo para el making of aunque es posible que se utilice también para el vídeo en sí mismo. Aritz Aranburu (voces y guitarra de Split77), Igor Zorrotzua y el autor de este blog estuvieron tirando de la silla de ruedas. Por la tarde se incorporaron Deibol Rodriguez (batería del grupo) y su hermano, de los Zea Mays estuvieron Aiora Renteria y Piti Imaz, y por último, Maite Alaña e Ibai Villapun que a parte de sorprendernos con los confetis tuvieron la inspiración de traer unas birras para que el personal no se apalancara.

Esperamos ansiosos el resultado final de la edición, que supongo que estará listo para cuando saquen el disco. Si el videoclip consigue transmitir lo bien que nos lo pasamos haciéndolo, seguro que dará que hablar…
